The woopcurve
woop's own bonding curve. Every coin opens at a $5k market cap and graduates at $50k.
Every new coin trades on it until it graduates into its WAMM pool.
The woopcurve and the WAMM pool are woop's own; tokens don't launch on Raydium, pump.fun or Meteora.
The numbers
| Supply | 1B coins |
| Sold on the curve | 760M. The rest is for the pool. |
| Opens at | $5k market cap |
| Graduates at | $50k market cap |
| To graduate | about $12k in, net of sells and fees (about 125 SOL with SOL at $96) |
| Refund | if it hasn't graduated 7 days after launch |
The curve is set from the pair token's dollar price at launch, so every coin opens at $5k whatever its pair. That price is used once. After that, the curve runs only on what's in it.
Market cap
$5.35k
Every coin opens at a $5k market cap, on any pair. The first 60 seconds are one Fair Block.
The price path
The woopcurve is a constant-product curve (x · y = k), the shape most curves use. Buys push the price up, sells push it down.
On a SOL pair, with SOL at $96:
| SOL in | 0 | 1 | 5 | 10 | 25 | 50 | 75 | 100 | 125 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Market cap | $5.0k | $5.2k | $5.9k | $6.9k | $10.3k | $17.4k | $26.4k | $37.2k | $50k |
A 1 SOL buy at launch gets about 18.9M coins, 1.9% of supply. Near graduation, 1 SOL gets about 1.9M.
Coins are locked to the curve
Until graduation, your coins only move through woop. You can buy, sell and queue them, but you can't send them to another wallet. They still show in your wallet.
That lets the program track every position, so nobody can dodge the sell limits or the refund rules by splitting a bag. At graduation every coin unlocks for good.
The fair opening
The first 60 seconds are one Fair Block.
- Every buy in it fills at the same price, the creator's included.
- One wallet can put in at most 2% of the opening market cap, about $100.
- Nobody can trade instantly until it ends.
Buying and selling
| Fills | Fee | Limit | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Instant buy | now | 1.5% | none |
| Fair Block, buy or sell | in a few seconds | 1.5% | none |
| Exit Queue sell | when buyers come, at your price | 1% | two orders per wallet |
| Instant sell | now | 10% | a fifth of your position, one a minute |
- Hold at least 100k $WOOP and you pay half, checked in every trade. Instant sells cost 10% for everyone.
- An instant buy fills from the Exit Queue first (1%), then the curve (1.5%).
- While a Fair Block holds orders, instant trades wait. That's a few seconds.
Instant sells
On a 1 SOL trade
- HoldersWeighted by amount × time held4%
- CreatorThe coin’s creator3%
- woopPlatform3%
- Total10%
The fifth is measured at your first instant sell, so five instant sells take you all the way out. Buying more resets it.
The cheap ways to sell are a Fair Block (1.5%, a few seconds) or the Exit Queue (1%).
Fair Blocks
Orders collect for a few seconds, then the whole block settles at one price. Buyers and sellers are matched with each other, and the curve takes only the difference. A Fair Block sell has no size limit. See Fair Blocks.
Exit Queue
Park coins in the queue with the lowest price you'll take. Instant buys fill from it at the curve's price, so the price doesn't drop. You're paid automatically as it sells, and you can cancel any time for the rest. See Exit Queue.
The creator's advance
Every creator gets a 1 SOL launch advance: their first 1 SOL of coins, bought in the fair opening at the same price as everyone. woop puts in no real SOL. The advance is virtual.
- It's repaid first, from the creator's fees.
- If the coin graduates with some still owed, the coins for the unpaid part are burned.
- In a refund, the unpaid part gets nothing, so holders lose nothing to it.
- On other pairs, it's 1 SOL's worth of the pair token.
The creator's coins
Every coin the creator's wallet buys is locked, the advance included. The creator can't sell before graduation.
After graduation, an equal part unlocks each day over 10 days. At launch the creator can pick longer, up to 4 years, with a cliff of up to a year. Later they can only make it longer. See Creator lock.
Graduation
When all 760M coins are sold, the coin graduates into its own WAMM pool. It happens on its own, within seconds.
The creator gets a graduation bonus of 0.4% of the raise, about 0.5 SOL, from woop's share of the fees.
Refunds
If a coin hasn't graduated 7 days after launch, it goes into refund mode.
- Trading stops.
- What's left in the curve goes back to every wallet, in proportion to what it put in, minus what it took out. Everyone gets back the same percentage.
- A wallet that already took out more than it put in gets nothing more.
- The creator counts only the part of the advance their fees paid back.
- woop pays every wallet automatically. Refunds are free.
- Your coins unfreeze afterwards, so you can burn them and close the account to get its rent back.
- The coins stay locked, and are worth nothing.
