Fees for traders
What a trade costs you, and how much of it comes back to holders.
What you pay
| Where | Fee per trade |
|---|---|
| On the curve, through woop | 2% |
| On the curve, from another app | 3% (3.25% on pairs without a share fee), plus that app's own fee |
| Exit Queue fills, on the curve | 1% a side |
| Fair Block matched part, on the curve | 2% a side |
| In the pool, after graduation | 1.25% (1% pool fee, 0.25% creator fee), from any app |
| Fair Block matched part, Exit Queue fills, after graduation | 1.25% a side |
| Fair Block matched part and Exit Queue fills, for $WOOP tier holders | half |
Through woop, the fee is the same on buys and sells, and the same on every pair.
Why it's cheaper on woop
Anyone can trade a woop coin from another app, like Axiom, Photon or a bot. woop can't stop that, so it makes its own trades the better deal.
Each new coin charges a higher fee on the curve. A trade through woop gets 1.25% of it back, in the same transaction. So you pay 2% on woop and 3% anywhere else, plus whatever that app charges.
Buying on woop can cost even less. An Instant buy fills from the coin's Exit Queue first, at 1%.
Coins launched before this change keep their old fees and get no rebate.
Where it goes
On a curve trade through woop, 0.45% goes to holders. If no promoter brought the trade, another 0.25% goes to the coin's treasury, for holders. A curve trade from another app pays holders 1.35%.
After graduation, about 0.42% of every pool trade goes to holders.
On a 1 SOL trade
- RaydiumProtocol fee, fixed0.25%
- CreatorThe coin’s creator (0.5% on other apps)0.75%
- HoldersWeighted by amount × time held0.45%
- woopPlatform0.3%
- PromoterWhoever’s link brought the trader0.25%
- Total2%
Example
You buy with 1 SOL on the curve, through woop:
| Amount | |
|---|---|
| Fee | 0.02 SOL |
| To holders | 0.0045 SOL |
| To the creator | 0.0075 SOL |
| To woop | 0.003 SOL |
| To Raydium | 0.0025 SOL |
| To the promoter, or the coin's treasury | 0.0025 SOL |
The trade charges 0.0325 SOL and pays 0.0125 SOL back to you in the same transaction, so you pay 0.02 SOL. The same buy from another app costs 0.03 SOL.
Once you hold, the same split runs on every trade other people make.
Fair Blocks and the Exit Queue
In a Fair Block, the part matched with other orders pays 2% each side, split 0.5% creator, 0.4% woop and the rest to holders. The leftover trades on the curve through woop, so it pays 2% like an Instant trade: its 1.25% rebate goes back to the side that traded.
An Exit Queue fill pays 1% each side, half the cost of a curve trade. See Exit Queue.
Network costs
Solana network costs are paid on top, in SOL. On mainnet each transaction also carries a tiny tip, about 0.000005 SOL, so Helius Sender can land it fast.
