Launching a coin

Four steps. Free, apart from about 0.03 SOL of network costs.

Launching takes four steps. You can go back to any step before you confirm.

Before you start

  • A Solana wallet with about 0.03 SOL for network costs.
  • A name, a ticker and a square image.
  • Extra SOL if you want to buy some of your coin at launch.

Steps

  1. Coin. Upload the image, then pick a name, a ticker of 2 to 10 letters or numbers, and an optional description. The image shows on the coin page, in lists and on share cards. The form tells you if your ticker already belongs to another coin; see Ticker protection.
  2. Pair. Pick the quote token your coin trades against. Holders are paid in it. See Picking a pair.
  3. Extras. All optional:
    • Links to your website, X and Telegram.
    • How it opens: instantly, or as a fair launch with a 1 to 60 minute window.
    • First buy: buy some of your coin in the launch transaction (instant launches only).
    • Creator lock: lock part of the supply to vest after graduation. See Creator lock.
  4. Launch. Check everything, then confirm in your wallet.

An instant launch goes live on its bonding curve straight away. A fair launch opens its commit window, and the app takes you to its page.

What it costs

The network costs pay to create the coin's accounts on Solana. They don't go to woop.

Buying at launch

You can buy some of your own coin in the same transaction as the launch. That buy pays the normal 2% fee, like any trade.

After launch

  • Share your coin's link. Anyone who promotes it earns 0.25% of the trades they bring.
  • Watch earnings, holders and volume on your dashboard.
  • When the curve fills, the coin graduates into a permanent Raydium pool on its own.
